The ArduCapSense Shield adds 8 capacitive sensing buttons and an audio output jack to your Arduino. Uses the Arduino CapSense library written by Paul Badger.

Use the buttons to do any of the following:

  • Program as 8 discrete buttons to control functions in the microcontroller or through the output port.
  • Group the CapSense pads together to use them as a slider.
  • Use the CapSense buttons as a mini keyboard and output tones through the audio output jack.

The shield includes:
  • Eight CapSense buttons.
  • Eight LEDs to match to the inputs.
  • Eight output lines to drive external hardware.
  • An output audio jack to use with the CapSense to make a virtual synthesizer.
  • Eight input lines to add external CapSense pads.
